Oklahoma City Thunder vs. New Orleans Pelicans Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-28-2022

The New Orleans Pelicans (11-8) will host the Oklahoma City Thunder (8-12) on Monday in a Western Conference matchup. Last season the Thunder won two of three head-to-head meetings straight up but covered the spread in all three.

Oklahoma City is 11-9 against the spread this season, and the over/under is 14-6 in their games. There's a long way to go; the Thunder are 12th in the Western Conference, two games behind the Timberwolves for the 10th spot.

Oklahoma City has lost four of its last five games. After beating the Bulls 123-119 in overtime on Friday, they lost the next day to the Rockets 118-105. The Thunder got off to a terrible start in the loss in Houston, as they fell behind 21 points at half-time and were not as close as the final score indicated.

The Thunder are 15th in offensive efficiency and sixth averaging 116.6 ppg. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has taken another step towards stardom, ranking fifth in the NBA in Player Efficiency Rating and third averaging 31.1 ppg. He has led the Thunder in scoring in 17 out of the 2o games this season. On defense, OKC is rated 20th in efficiency but 29th allowing 118.3 ppg.
