Indiana Pacers vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-28-2022

Indiana Pacers (11-8) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (7-11)

The 2022-23 NBA betting action continues Monday in this inter-conference battle when the Indiana Pacers take on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The suddenly surging Los Angeles Lakers won their fifth game out of their last six contests when they defeated San Antonio on Saturday, 143-138. Indiana lost to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, 114-100, their second loss in their last three games. These teams have not played this season but split the two contests last year with the visitors winning both contests.

The Indiana Pacers (11-7, 12-6-0 ATS) trailed the Clippers by two coming out of the half, but Los Angeles blew this game open, outscoring Indiana 23-12 in the third quarter on their way to a 114-100 victory. The Pacers struggled in the contest, hitting 38.3% of their shots, including 9-42 (21.4%) from three-point range. The club was outrebounded 62-39 in the loss.

Indiana is seventh in points per game (115.7) and had been average in three-point shooting, 14th overall at 36.0%. However, they had no answers in this game as the five starters shot a combined 8-33 while the bench was just 1-9 from three-point range. Indiana was just blasted on the glass, as the Clippers recorded 44 defensive rebounds and 62 total boards.

Jalen Smith led the way with 23 points and nine rebounds. Tyrese Haliburton chipped in 15 and added 11 assists. He leads the club at 19.9 points and 11.1 assists per game. The Pacers will be without PG Andrew Nembhard and SG Chris Duarte. Indiana is 4-3 on the road.
