Oakland Athletics vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-26-2023

It’s the continuation of a series on the diamond between a pair of AL West teams from Golden State. The Oakland A’s are on the road as they travel to face the Los Angeles Angels in the third game of a four-game series Wednesday night. In the opening game of the series Monday night, Oakland flexed their power game as they earned an 11-10 win in 10 innings to take an early lead in the series. Will the A’s find a way to build off their momentum from the opening game victory or will the Angels rebound? This article was published prior to the conclusion of the second game of the series at Angel Stadium Tuesday night.

I won $14,619 in parlay tickets in the month of November, hit a 47-1 parlay to kick off the New Year plus 18 more four-teamers worth more than $16,400 in the last 10 weeks! That includes eight hits in the month of April alone worth $5,651! Don't miss out on another big payday! Click here to get a month of my parlays for only $50 (normally $100)!

Oakland had dropped two straight and nine of 10 before taking down the Angels in the opening game of this series Monday night thanks to a rare power surge. The A’s entered Tuesday 5-18 on the season and stood last in the AL West race, 9.5 games behind the Rangers for the top spot in the division. On Monday night, the A’s got three hits from Jesus Aguilar (two runs, two RBI) while Brent Rooker (two runs, three RBI), Tony Kemp (RBI) and Carlos Perez (run) each had two. Rooker (his fifth and sixth of the year) and Aguilar (his third and fourth) each homered twice while Kevin Smith hit his first of the year. Ken Waldichuk didn’t factor in the decision as he threw 5.1 innings, allowing five runs on six hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Adam Oller (1-0) earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit with no walks and one strikeout. Jeurys Familia allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits with one w alk and one strikeout in his one inning but earned his second save.

Luis Medina is expected to be called up to make his major league debut for the A’s in this contest. He has made three starts for Triple-A Las Vegas in the Pacific Coast League this season, posting no record with a 3.86 ERA, a 1.393 WHIP, eight walks and 11 strikeouts over 9.1 innings of work. In his minor league career, Medina is 15-24 with a 4.83 ERA, a 1.536 WHIP, 274 walks and 468 strikeouts over 391.1 innings in 96 appearances, 94 starts. He has uncorked a ridiculous 100 wild pitches in that span, an average of more than one per outing. Seeing that this is his major league debut, he pitches against the Angels for the first time in this contest. As a result, he pitches at Angel Stadium for the first time here as well.
