The fourth-seeded Northern Kentucky Norse will be facing off against the top-seeded Youngstown State Penguins in the semifinals of the Horizon League Championship Tournament on Monday evening at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in a neutral site matchup. The Norse are 20-12 (14-6) right now and are coming off an 81-74 win on Thursday against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The Penguins are sitting at 24-8 (15-5) so far and are coming off a 71-66 win over the Detroit Mercy Titans on Thursday. These teams split their two regular season meetings against one another so this should be interesting. 

The Northern Kentucky Norse have been well and are coming off an 81-74 win against the fifth-seeded Oakland Golden Grizzlies in the quarterfinals. They did well in the opening half as they outscored Oakland 41-32. They shot the ball at a great level from three as they were 25-of-51 (49 percent) overall, 13-of-29 (44.8 percent) from three, and 27 free-throw attempts. Junior guard Marques Warrick led the team as in 37 minutes he finished with 22 points, one rebound, and one assist. Defensively, they need to do a better job as they allowed 50 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from deep here. Northern Kentucky did well as they finished with four steals and one block throughout the game after forcing seven turnovers. 

The Northern Kentucky Norse are struggling offensive ly this season as they are 275th in the nation with 68.2 points per game thus far and shooting 43.4 percent from the floor and are averaging 14.1 assists per game. Defensively, they are giving up 63.7 points per game, which is 30th in the country. They have been causing issues with 2.5 blocks and 9.4 steals per game thus far.
