Miami and Buffalo will square off on Sunday night with the division title on the line. With a win, Buffalo gets the second seed; with a loss, they could fall out of the playoffs entirely.
Multiple divisions are up for grabs as well. The AFC South is in Jacksonville’s hands, but if they lose, the winner of the Colts and Texans heads to the playoffs. The NFC South goes through Tampa Bay, who plays Carolina in the final week. If they fall, then New Orleans clinches the division with a win but could still make the playoffs as a wild card if Tampa wins the division.
Week 18 is always an interesting gambling week, with some teams playing for the playoffs and others playing for nothing. Teams that have playoff positions will be on the line will be bet out this week, but we have seen that playing spoiler is motivation as well in the NFL. Be prepared to take the extra points if spoiler teams take too much money against them.
