NFL Futures Week 7 Update: MVP, OROY Odds, Picks & Best Bets

Week 6 has come and gone, and we’re starting to see the pretenders and contenders show their colors. Some names like Jared Goff and De'Von Achane have shot up in their respective categories, while players like Bijan Robinson and Dak Prescott have slipped. So, let's take a look at the current standings for the MVP, Offensive Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year with my best bet for each market ahead of Week 7.

NFL Most Valuable Player

The race for the MVP award contains the usual suspects with a little movement in the odds after Week 6.

Tua Tagovailoa +350
Patrick Mahomes +450
Brock Purdy +700
Josh Allen +850
Jalen Hurts +850
Christian McCaffrey +1000
Jared Goff +1800
Trevor Lawrence +2000
Lamar Jackson +2000

So far this season, I've sprinkled some money on Jalen Hurts at +850 and Brock Purdy at +2200 for the MVP. Following Week 6, I think Tua Tagovailoa has value at +350. The leader of the Miami offense has been excellent so far this season, and the key to his success has been staying healthy. Durability was Tagovailoa's biggest knock heading into the season, and so far (knock on wood), he's been able to stay on the field and lead the Dolphins to a lot of big wins. In Week 6, the Fins went down 14-0 to the winless Panthers, but it didn't take long for Miami to wake up. The Dolphins ended up winning 42-21, and Tagovailoa threw for 3 touchdowns. He's been a favorite for the award all season, so he's worth a sprinkle heading into Week 7.
