New York Knicks at Indiana Pacers – 12/18/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Indiana Pacers play host to the New York Knicks at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday night.

The New York Knicks are coming into this game with plenty of momentum as they are looking to build on their six-game win streak after blowing past the Bulls in a dominant 114-91 road win on Friday. RJ Barrett led the team with 27 points, Jalen Brunson and Quentin Grimes each scored 22 points while Julius Randle chipped in with 22 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Knicks shot just 40 percent from the field and 17 of 44 from the 3-point line, but this win was all about their defense as they held the Bulls to just 21 points in the second quarter to take the early lead, and they didn’t take their foot off the gas, restricting the Bulls to just 38 points in the second half to make it a blowout.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a real funk as they’ve lost seven of their last 10 games and they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after falling short to the Cavaliers in a 118-112 road loss on Friday. Benedict Mathurin led the way with 22 points off the bench, Tyrese Haliburton added 17 points with 14 assists while Buddy Hield and Aaron Nesmith each scored 14 points. As a team, the Pacers shot 52 percent from the field and 11 of 36 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and looked to be in control after building a 13-point lead, but they didn’t put the Cavaliers away and got absolutely burned by 35-18 in the fourth quarter to let the game slip away from them.
