The Predators are having a rough season with their offense struggling, scoring only 2.25 goals per game with only three goals in their last two games. Colton Sissons, Ryan O'Reilly, and Filip Forsberg have scored four goals and five assists but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only five skaters have found the back of the net this season and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has been awful but the defense has also struggled, allowing 3.50 goals per game with nine goals in the last two games. Roman Josi and Tyson Barrie have led the top two pairings but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will.
