The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Indiana Pacers collide at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been on a nice run as they are now gunning for a fifth straight victory after sneaking past the Heat in a 105-101 home win on Monday. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team with 25 points, eight rebounds and nine assists, Anthony Edwards added 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 43 percent from the field and 14 of 47 from the 3-point line as they struggled in the first half and trailed big before they exploded for 37 points in the third quarter to take control and escape with the gritty win.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their past eight games and they will be looking to build on their five-game win streak after routing the Magic in a 123-102 win on Monday. Benedict Mathurin led the team with 22 points off the bench, Tyrese Haliburton tallied 18 points with 14 rebounds while Oshae Brissett added 18 points on five of nine shooting. As a team, the Pacers shot 50 percent from the field and 13 of 46 from the 3-point line as they held the Magic to just 17 points in the second quarter to take the early lead, before exploding for 69 points in the second half to make it a blowout.
