The Portland Trail Blazers and the Cleveland Cavaliers duke it out at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Portland Trail Blazers have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last five games and they will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting stopped by the Bucks in a 119-111 road loss on Monday. Anfernee Simons led the team with 29 points and five assists, Jerami Grant added 18 points while Josh Hart chipped in with 17 points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 47 percent from the field and eight of 29 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Bucks until the third quarter where they got outscored by 30-18 to trail by as many as 17 points.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Hawks in a 114-102 win on Monday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 29 points and nine assists, Darius Garland added 26 points with nine assists while Cedi Osman provided the spark off the bench with 23 points on eight of 10 shooting. As a team, the Cavaliers shot a sizzling 60 percent from the field and 10 of 19 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 38 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before holding the Hawks to just 20 points in the fourth quarter to pull away and win comfortably in the end.
