It’s a marquee interconference matchup on the gridiron as week 7 of the NFL slate brings us a primetime tilt in the City of Brotherly Love. The Miami Dolphins are on the road as they make the trip to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Miami comes in off a 42-21 home win over Carolina last Sunday in their previous game, covering the line as a 14-point favorite. Philadelphia was beaten 20-14 at home by the Jets last Sunday, losing outright as a 6.5-point favorite. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Dolphins own a 9-6 advantage and have won the two meetings. That includes a 37-31 home win in the most recent matchup on December 1, 2019.

Miami struggled early against Carolina but once they got going, they rolled over the Panthers en route to the one-sided home triumph. The Dolphins improved to 5-1 on the season and held a one-game lead over Buffalo in the AFC East, though the Bills own the tiebreaker after a week four victory. Against Carolina, Miami trailed 14-0 after the opening quarter before getting rolling. The Dolphins outscored the Panthers 42-7 the rest of the way to earn the victory. Miami held a 424-296 advantage in total offense and picked up 23 first downs while allowing 21 to offset the fact that they were edged 30:44 to 29:16 in time of possession in the game. The Dolphins committed the game’s only turnover, which was a pick-six for the Panthers, in the victory.

On the season, the Dolphins are 1st in the league in passing offense as they average 316.8 yards per contest this season. The Dolphins are 1< sup>st in rushing offense as they average 181.8 yards per game on the ground. Miami is 1st in the league in scoring offense as they put up 37.2 points per game. The Dolphins are 26th in scoring defense as they give up an average of 26 points a contest. Tua Tagovailoa is 140 of 197 for 1,876 yards with 14 touchdowns against five interceptions. Jason Sanders has hit 28 of 29 extra point attempts and five of seven field goal attempts with a long of 45 this season.

Miami has several injuries worth monitoring as the week goes on toward kickoff. Cornerback Xavien Howard (groin), fullback Alec Ingold (foot) along with offensive linemen Kendall Lamm (not injury related – personal) and Connor Williams (groin) all missed practice Wednesday. Defensive backs Kader Kohou (neck), Nik Needham (Achilles) and Jalen Ramsey (knee) were limited in Wednesday’s practice. Keep an eye out for further updates on their respective statuses, though coach Mike McDaniel stated that Ramsey will not play in this contest.
