Memphis at SMU – 3/2/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Memphis Tigers will head down to Dallas to take on the SMU Mustangs in AAC play from the Moody Coliseum on ESPN2. Memphis leads the head-to-head series, 17-14, after winning the last two meetings.

Memphis improved to 22-7 after following a home win over Cincinnati. The Tigers held off a second half rally from the Bearcats and picked up a three-point win, 76-73. Memphis is scoring 79.9 points per game, while allowing 73.2 ppg, and shooting 48.3% from the field.

Memphis has won eleven of their last thirteen straight games, and it’s safe to say they’ve punched their ticket to the dance with a sweep of Cincinnati. The Tigers are 12-4 in AAC play, with a 6-5 road record. Kendric Davis will definitely get up for the opportunity to spoil his former school’s home finale. The veteran guard led SMU in scoring for three seasons, and after going for 22 points in the win over Cincy, he leads Memphis in scoring (21.3) and assists (5.6). Veteran Deandre Williams matched his energy with 21 points against the Bearcats, and he’s up to 17.5 ppg and a team-leading 7.9 rpg.
