Los Angeles Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-26-2023

Los Angeles Clippers (33-29) vs. Denver Nuggets (42-18)

The 2022-23 NBA season goes on Sunday, February 26, with the Westen Conference showdown from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, where the Los Angeles Clippers square off against the Denver Nuggets with the tip-off at 10:00 PM ET.

LA and Denver wrap up their four-game regular-season series. The Nuggets look to sweep the Clippers for the first time since the 2008-09 season, so let’s take a closer look.

In their first game after the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Clippers (33-29; 31-31 ATS) suffered a 176-175 double-overtime defeat to the Sacramento Kings this past Friday. It was the second-highest scoring game in NBA history, and both teams shot lights out. The Clippers made 60.2% of their field goals (26-for-45 from deep), while the Kings made 58.6% of their field goals (18-for-41 from downtown).

Kawhi Leonard dropped 44 points on the Kings. Paul George posted a line of 34 points, ten rebounds, and five assists, and Norman Powell added 24 points off the bench. Russell Westbrook had a solid debut as a Clipper, finishing with 17 points, 14 assists, and seven turnovers.

“I thought he did a great job getting to a spot with the 3-point shots and attacking the basket,&#x201 D; Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said about Leonard.

The Clippers have dropped three of their last five contests overall, covering the spread twice in the process. They are the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference, half a game behind the fourth-seeded Phoenix Suns and a couple of games ahead of the No. 7 New Orleans Pelicans. The Clippers rank 16th in the league in adjusted offensive efficiency (114.3 points per 100 possessions) and 13th in adjusted defensive efficiency (114.0).
