La Salle at Saint Joseph's Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/5/23

The La Salle Explorers will take the 15-minute bus ride into the city and face off with the Saint Joseph’s Hawks in Atlantic 10 play from Hagan '85 Arena. St. Joe’s leads the all-time series, 56-48, after winning at home three weeks ago.

La Salle moved to 9-13 after defeating George Washington in Philly. The Explorers outscored the Colonials in both halves, and picked up an eleven-point win. La Salle is scoring 68.4 points per game, while allowing 72.6 ppg, and shooting 41% from the field.

La Salle snapped a four-game skid with the win over GWU, and they’ll look to nail down win number ten in this Big 5 matchup. The Explorers are 3-6 in Atlantic 10 play, with a 3-5 road record. Sophomore guard Khalil Brantley has been the team’s most consistent player, and he’s leading La Salle in scoring (14.2) and assists (3.9). Senior Josh Nickelberry starts alongside him, and he’s the only other player averaging double figures at 10.2 ppg. St. Peter’s transfer Fousseyni Drame (9.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg) played big in the first meeting with the Hawks, scoring a season-high 24 points, while grabbing 13 boards.
