The Kent State Golden Flashes (3-6) hit the road for a MAC battle against the Bowling Green Falcons (5-4) on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Doyt L. Perry Stadium.
The Golden Flashes played the Ball State Cardinals in their last outing, falling 27-20. The Falcons’ last game finished in a 13-9 win over the Western Michigan Broncos. Against the Cardinals, Collin Schlee led the Golden Flashes with 183 yards on 25-of-41 passing (61.0%) for one touchdown and no interceptions. He also carried the ball 12 times for 42 yards. Marquez Cooper totaled 168 rushing yards on 32 carries (5.3 yards per carry), scoring one touchdown on the ground. He added one catch for -4 yards. Ja’Shaun Poke had 87 yards on 13 catches (6.7 per reception) in that game. Matt McDonald totaled 161 passing yards while going 23-for-31 with no touchdowns and no interceptions for the Falcons against the Broncos. Jaison Patterson carried the ball 10 times for 56 yards. Odieu Hiliare caught nine passes on 10 targets for 51 yards (5.7 yards per reception).
The Golden Flashes are favored (-2.5) in an expected close matchup against the Falcons. The total is set at 57.5 points.
