For a half at least, the Indiana Hoosiers stayed within shouting distance of the defending National Champion UConn Huskies on Sunday afternoon. They trailed by just 7 points at the half, 37-30. The second half was a different story altogether, however, as the Huskies outscored Indiana 40-27 to roll to a victory. Indiana was led by Malik Reneau's 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting but he was a rare bright spot on a poor offensive showing from the Hoosiers. They shot under 40% on the day and fell behind by as many as 24 points in the second half. They now hope to salvage a game on this trip to New York City with a win on Monday.

Indiana's downfall on Sunday was directly linked to poor shooting and UConn's domination on the glass. Overall, the Hoosiers shot just 38% from the floor overall and hit 3-of-13 from 3-point range. The Hoosiers also had a meager six assists in the game compared to UConn& #39;s 19 assists in the contest. On the glass, UConn had 44 rebounds, including 15 offensive rebounds while the Hoosiers had just 22 rebounds total in the loss.
