Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-9-2023

The Indiana Pacers (34-47, 41-40 ATS, 41-39 O/U) collide with the New York Knicks (47-34, 44-33-4 ATS, 43-37 O/U) in a conference battle on Sunday afternoon. The Pacers lost a home decision against the Pistons on Friday night. The Knicks were dealt a road loss by the Pelicans. The  Knicks lead the season series 3-0. 

The Indiana Pacers conclude a promising season on Sunday. Indiana was solid in the first half of the season but stumbled in the second half and wasn’t able to qualify for the play-in round. There were plenty of bright spots propelled by the young players. The Pacers have lost three consecutive games. They lost 138-129 to the Knicks on Wednesday and were six-point favorites in a 122-115 home loss to the Pistons on Friday night. The Pacers have covered the spread in one of their last three games.

Tyrese Haliburton enjoyed a strong season. The 23-year-old point guard has scored at least 20 points in four of his last five games. He is averaging 20.7 PPG accompanied by 10.4 RPG. Haliburton did not play Friday and is unlikely to play. Myles Turner has not played in a few weeks due to injury and is doubtful. The 27-year-old center has recorded an average of 18 PPG along with 7.5 RPG. Bennedict Math urin is one of the better rookies in the NBA. The 20-year-old scored 16 on Friday and has posted an average of 16.6 PPG. He averaged 17.3 points and 6.7 RPG against the Knicks this season.

The Pacers are 2-3 in their last five road games including losses to the Hawks and Cavaliers. Indiana has netted at least 115 points in four of their last five games and is posting an average of 116 points on the season, good for 10th. The defense has been exploited this season. They are conceding an average of 119.3 points, pegging them 29th.
