The Philadelphia Eagles entered the 2022 season with high expectations, and it’s safe to say that those expectations were met and then some. Philadelphia waltzed through a weak NFC and cruised through its 2 playoff games to reach the Super Bowl for the first time since February 2018, when the Eagles knocked off the Patriots 41-33. After bowing out in the Wild Card round of last season’s playoffs, Jalen Hurts and company have taken a major step forward and are looking to capture their second Super Bowl in the last 5 seasons.

With the win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Eagles will now be playing in their fourth Super Bowl in franchise history. This is also the second time in the last 5 seasons that Philadelphia is back on the NFL's biggest stage, albeit with a much different cast of characters leading the way. The last time the Eagles played in a Super Bowl was in 2018 against the New England Patriots, in which Doug Pederson was the head coach and Nick Foles started at quarterback. Philadelphia previously played in Super Bowl 39 in February 2005, losing to the Patriots on a last-second field goal. That game marked the Eagles' first Super Bowl appearance since 1981.
