Another year, another Super Bowl title for the Kansas City Chiefs, who shook off a somewhat disappointing regular season that ended with them falling short of their win total of 11.5. In a reversal of history, it was actually the defense that led the Chiefs to what success they had during the season, finishing second in points allowed versus 15th in points scored, a stunning number for a team with a healthy Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. Once the postseason started, the Chiefs turned it on, steamrolling the Dolphi ns before hitting the road to beat the Bills in a shootout and the Ravens in a defensive slugfest, then winning the first overtime Super Bowl in history.
