Houston Rockets at Boston Celtics – 12/27/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Houston Rockets invade the TD Garden to do battle with the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

The Houston Rockets have been in a funk as they’ve lost six of their last nine games, but they will be aiming to build some momentum after arresting a five-game slide with a 133-118 road win over the Bulls last night. Kevin Porter Jr. led the team with 36 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, Alperen Sengun added 25 points with 11 rebounds and six assists while Jalen Green chipped in with 24 points on nine of 15 shooting. As a team, the Rockets shot 55 percent from the field and 17 of 44 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 36 points in the first quarter to take the early lead and they didn’t take their foot off the gas in the second half where they poured in another 69 points to win easily in a big upset.  

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics have been in a bit of a funk as they’ve lost five of their last eight games, but they will be aiming for a third straight victory after making light work of the Bucks in a 139-118 win on Christmas Day. Jayson Tatum led the team with 41 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Jaylen Brown added 29 points on 11 of 19 shooting while Derrick White chipped in with 12 points and five assists. As a team, the Celtics shot a sizzling 58 percent from the field and 19 of 39 from the 3-point line as they wrestled with the Bucks in a tightly contested first half, before they let loose with 77 points in the second half to pull away and earn the statement victory at home.
