Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-26-2023

Golden State Warriors (44-38) vs. Sacramento Kings (48-34)

The 2023 NBA Playoffs continue Wednesday, April 26, with the No. 6 Golden State Warriors squaring off against the No. 3 Sacramento Kings in Game 5 of the Western Conference first-round series, and the tip-off is set for 10:00 PM ET.

Golden State heads to Golden 1 Center in Sacramento as a 4-point fave with a total of 232.0 points. The series is tied at two games apiece, and the Kings might miss De’Aaron Fox (fractured finger) in a pivotal Game 5.

After dropping the first two games of the series at Golden 1 Center (126-123 and 114-106), the Golden State Warriors have won two straight contests in front of the home audience (114-97 and 126-125). Last Sunday, the reigning NBA champions narrowly outlasted the Kings, who had a chance to win on a final possession but Harrison Barnes missed a jumper at the buzzer.

The Warriors made 50.0% of their field goals in Game 4. They went 14-for-34 from beyond the arc while posting an excellent 31/12 assist-to-turnover ratio. Stephen Curry accounted for 32 points and four assists, Klay Thompson had 26 points and three dishes, while Jordan Poole added 22 points and four dimes. Draymond Green came off the bench, finishing with a line of 12 points, ten rebounds, seven assists, a couple of steals, and a plus-8 net rating.

“These games are coming down to the wire, and you’ve just got to really finish possessions and try to give yourself the best chance, and then sometimes, it’s just, does the ball go in or not,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

The Warriors dominated the Kings in Game 3 despite missing Draymond Green, who served a one-game suspension. Steph Curry dropped 36 points on Sacramento in that comfortable 17-point victory, and he’s now tallying 31.5 points per game on 48.9% shooting from the field this postseason.
