Detroit is headed to the NBA Draft Lottery after missing the playoffs for the fourth straight season. Will the Pistons, losers of 22 of its last 25 games, be rewarded with the right to take French phenom Victor Wembanyama?

Detroit managed to win on Friday, beating Indiana for its first win since March 13 (another victory over the Pacers). Rookie guard Jaden Ivey stole the show, scoring 29 points with nine assists, and Killian Hayes added a career-high 28 points. The win won't save Detroit from a last-place finish in the NBA standings, but it did mean something to the guys on the court.

“It's big,” Ivey said. “This is why you play the game — to win.”

They're 28th in adjusted offensive rating, 27th in effective field goal percentage (52.1%), and 13th in pace of play.
