Canada vs. Latvia Prediction, Pick & Odds: FIBA World Cupiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

Latvia and Canada are each 2-0 through their first pair of outings in Group H play. Which team will keep its record perfect Tuesday? Our Canada vs. Latvia prediction is based on the best FIBA World Cup odds.

After dismantling Lebanon 109-70 in its first game of Group H play, Latvia stunned France and eliminated Rudy Gobert and Co. from the World Cup with an 88-86 win in Game 2. Canada has played equally well through two games, stomping Lebanon 128-73 and crushing France 95-65.

These two teams will surely be moving on to the next round, but the winner of the Group is yet undecided. Can the Latvians continue their magical run, or will the Canadians use their star power to come away with another big win?

Here is our best Canada vs. Latvia prediction for Tuesday's FIBA World Cup matchup (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Latvia is playing in its first-ever World Cup, but you wouldn't know that from the box scores. After a big win over Lebanon, the Latvians upset the favored French in an emotional, two-point victory. It's been a great run for Latvia thus far, but Lebanon is not in the same stratosphere, and France delivered a major choke job. The Latvians will have a much more difficult time hanging with the Canadians.

Canada looked sharp in its tune-up games, finishing with a 3-2 record and delivering notable victories over Germany and top-ranked Spain. The team's entire starting five is comprised of NBA players, including All-Star and top-five scorer Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. In addition to SGA, the Canadians have another superb scorer in RJ Barrett, who led the team in scoring with 17 in the last game out. Kelly Olynyk, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Dillon Brooks have all contributed to the team's success thus far, showcasing how deep this roster is.

In the Canadians' most recent win – a 128-73 thumping of Lebanon – the team set the FIBA record for most assists in a game with 43, and nine players scored in double figures. This is a deep and well-balanced team with a pair of elite offensive options who can get a bucket whenever they need one. Latvia is riding high after its big win over France, but the Bertans brothers won't be able to shoot their team to victory against a superior Canada squad.

This line feels about right for the talent disparity, and Latvia is set up for a major letdown after such a big win over France. We'll take Canada and the points in a game this team should win handily.

Canada vs. Latvia odds analysis

Canada is the heavy favorite here, and betting on them to simply win isn't a profitable endeavor. The moneyline for Canada is as short as -1200 at Caesars and as long as -2200 at FanDuel and bet365. I'm picking Canada to win this one convincingly, but if you like a feel-good story and believe Latvia comes through with another upset, bet365 has the longest moneyline odds for the Latvians at +1150.

If you want a little more action, bet365 is the only one of our best sports betting apps offering player props for this one. Barrett has had some big games for Canada thus far, including his 17-point outing against Lebanon. I like the Over on his 23.5 points + rebounds + assists prop at -105 odds. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has pulled down at least seven rebounds in three of his last five games in the World Cup (including tune-ups), and he grabbed 13 against France in Game 1. We'll sprinkle a little money on him at +150 odds to grab seven-plus rebounds against Latvia.
