The Campbell Fighting Camels and UNC Asheville Bulldogs face off on Sunday in the Bojangles Coliseum. These two teams have faced off twice this year, and UNC Asheville has been able to secure the win in each of the games.
Campbell sits with a 16-17 record overall but they are coming off quite the upset on Saturday. Campbell outscored 35-27 in the second half against Radford and that was enough to secure the 72-71 victory. Anthony Dell’Orso finished with 23 points, four rebounds, and one assist. Campbell is averaging 69.7 points while their defense is giving up 68.2 points per game. This isn’t exactly an elite offensive team, but in this game if they want to win to find success the defense is going to need to be strong. Ricky Clemons is averaging 14.1 points while shooting 51.7 percent from the field.
On the other side of this matchup is UNC Asheville who sits with a 26-7 record overall and they were able to sue a second half comeback to find success against USC Upstae on Saturday. The defense only gave up 62 points to win. Drew Pember had another strong game finishing with 31 points and 10 rebounds. UNC Asheville is averaging 75 points while their defense is giving up 68.5 points per game. Drew Pember has been the top player averaging 20.6 points while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from behind the three point line.
