Boise State at San Diego State Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/3/23

The San Diego State Aztecs will host the Boise State Broncos in Mountain West play from the Viejas Center on FS1. SDSU leads the all-time series, 17-10, but Boise won all three meetings last season.

Boise State fell to 15-5 after losing to New Mexico in Albuquerque. The Broncos and Lobos found themselves in a shootout, and UNM would find a way to escape in overtime by two points. Boise State is scoring 72.4 points per game, while allowing 60.7 ppg, and shooting 45.9% from the floor.

Boise State has been very sharp since the turn of the year, winning eight of their last nine games. This bout with SDSU will indeed mark their toughest spot of the season thus far, but Boise will definitely bring the fight with first place on the line. The Broncos are 8-2 in Mountain West play, with a 10-1 record at home. Sophomore forward Tyson Degenhart has picked things up since the start of conference play, and after going for an efficient 22 points in the win over CSU, he leads Boise in scoring (14.4), while grabbing 5.4 rpg. Senior guard Max Rice led the team with 22 points against AFA last time out, and he’s second on the team at 13.7 ppg. Fellow veteran guard Marcus Shaver Jr. is posting a nice line of 13.2 ppg, and team-leads of 6.3 rpg and 4.2 apg.
