Best NHL player prop bets for Monday, 2/20

After a great weekend, the NHL isn't letting us down with a weak Monday slate. We have 6 matchups on the board as teams look to solidify their playoff positioning. That includes Metro Division rivalry in New York and another great matchup down the street in Madison Square Garden. However, those are the final games of the evening and we're targeting the first 2 early afternoon games of the day. With that in mind, let's not waste any time and get into it.'

Along with our player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.

Matthew Tkachuk over 1.5 points (-110)

Our 2 favorite player props are focused on 2 skaters having MVP-caliber seasons. The first of which is Tkachuk on his new team, the Florida Panthers. They're coming off a rough loss to the Nashville Predators, but now get to head back to South Beach and host a historically bad defensive team in the Anaheim Ducks. They've been allowing the most goals per game all season and have allowed 6 or more goals in each of their last 4 games.'

Even in their recent loss, Tkachuk still notched a goal to bring his point total to 76, which is the 4th-most in the NHL. He was actually suspended when the Panthers took down the Ducks earlier in the season. However, he's no stranger to facing Anaheim. He came over from the Calgary Flames in the offseason and the last time he had a home game against them, he recorded 3 points. Tkachuk began this month with an incredible 5-point game against a great Tampa Bay Lightning team, so he can certainly have a big night against a bad Ducks squad tonight.
