Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 6-20-2023

The Arizona Diamondbacks (43-29, 43-29 RL, 34-33-5 O/U) meet with the Milwaukee Brewers (37-34, 31-40 RL, 29-39-3 O/U) in an NL battle on Tuesday evening. The Diamondbacks will be sending Ryne Nelson on the mound. The Brewers will reply with Colin Rea. The Diamondbacks lead the season series 2-1.

The Diamondbacks will have Ryne Nelson make the start on Tuesday evening. Nelson was roughed up in his latest effort, allowing five runs on 10 hits in four innings against the Phillies, and was hit with the loss. The young has struggled in two of his last four outings and now has a weak 5.30 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP to go with a 3-4 record in 71.1 innings pitched on the season. This is his first career meeting against the Brewers.

Arizona continues to lead the NL West which is not something many expected. They have cooled down slightly after a hot start to the month. They lost three meetings against the Phillies and rebounded with two wins in three meetings with Cleveland this past weekend. They scored 14 runs in the series against the Guardians. They stand at 6-4 in their last ten games.

Christian Walker leads the Diamondbacks' offense with 15 homers and 48 RBIs. The 32-year-old first baseman continues to deliver, sporting a dazzling 1.09 OPS this month and has a .854 OPS on the season. Walker has accrued three RBIs in two games against the Brewers this season.

Arizona is scoring an average of 5.12 runs on the season, good for fifth. The pitching staff has amassed a 4.47 team ERA, placing them 20th.
