Anaheim Ducks (3-6-1) vs. Vancouver Canucks (2-6-2)

The NHL betting action continues with a loaded 13-game Thursday card, so we are breaking down the Pacific Division battle from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, to get you the best Ducks vs. Canucks betting pick, tips, and odds.

Anaheim and Vancouver start their four-game regular-season series, and the Canucks are listed as -155 moneyline favorites with a total of 6.0 goals. Last season, Anaheim went 3-1 against Vancouver, and the Ducks are undefeated in four straight visits to Rogers Arena.

The Anaheim Ducks are coming off a 6-5 shootout victory over the San Jose Sharks this past Tuesday. It was their second win in a row, as the Ducks stopped their seven-game slide with a 4-3 overtime victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs last Sunday. Anaheim and San Jose took 44 shots apiece, and Adam Henrique led the way for the Ducks with a couple of goals on just four shots.

“It was an up-and-down game,” Anaheim coach Dallas Eakins said. “There was a ton of emotion in the game, a ton of emotion on our bench. When you can bend and not break, and when you can learn to channel your emotions in the right direction, I think it’s a great learning experience.”

Anthony Stolarz patrolled the crease at San Jose and moved to 1-1-0 on the young season. John Gibson is projected to get the nod Thursday in Vancouver, and the 29-year-old netminder is 2-5-1 with a 4.23 GAA and .888 save percentage in 2022-23.

The Ducks rank 31st in the NHL in goals against (4.30 per game) and 30th in goals for (2.50). Their special teams have been terrible so far this term, scoring just two power-play goals on 30 opportunities and allowing 13 power-play goals on 36 attempts. Troy Terry has 12 points (G4, A8) on his season tally, while Trevor Zegras has scored six goals over the previous ten games.
