Anaheim Ducks vs. Dallas Stars Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-6-2023

The Anaheim Ducks face the Dallas Stars with both teams heading in opposite directions this season. The Ducks have a 16-29-5 record and are in last place in the Pacific Division while the Stars have a 28-13-10 record and are in first place in the Central Division. Both teams look to win their first game back from the All-Star break and the upcoming game looks to be a good one as a result.

The Ducks are having an awful season with their offense scoring only 2.44 goals per game. Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras have scored 31 goals and 53 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only four skaters have 11 goals or more and opposing defenses can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Ducks down, allowing 4.06 goals per game. Cam Fowler and Dmitry Kulikov have combined for 3.5 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender John Gibson has struggled with a .898 save percentage and a 3.96 goals-against average on 1216 shots with -9.2 goals saved above average.
