Tampa Bay (91-57) and Baltimore (91-55) meet on Friday night at Camden Yards in an AL East battle at 7:05pmET on Apple TV+.

The Rays opened this four-game series with a 4-3 win on Thursday to move to within one game of the top of the stands in the East.

Tampa Bay jumped out to a 3-1 lead last night and then Baltimore climbed back as they usually do, to tie the game at 3-3 in the fifth. In the seventh inning, with starter Kyle Bradish still on the mound, Luke Raley hit his 19th home run to break the tie with two outs.  The Rays' bullpen held on the first three innings, allowing no hits and no walks with five strikeouts as Pete Fairbanks struck out the side in the ninth to get his 23rd save.

“I mean, we know what's on the table. We know how important this four-game series is,” said Raley on MLB.com, who picked an ideal time for his first homer since Aug. 24. “We're going to do everything we can to win all four. That's all that we can do.”

The Rays will send right-hander Zach Elfin to the mound, who is 14-8 with a 3.53 ERA. He last pitched against the Orioles on July 21, allowing two hits in seven i nnings with no run for the win at home. Since August 1, Elfin has pitched in just there road games and has allowed just one run in 18.3 innings. His career mark against the Orioles is pretty good as he's 2-2 with a 3.36 ERA in four starts in his career, along with 1-1 with a 2.77 ERA in two starts this season.
