Yale Bulldogs (2-0) vs. Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (1-0)

The 2022-23 college basketball season continues Monday, November 14, with the ultimate clash of the Outrigger Rainbow Classic at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, so here’s the best Yale vs. Hawaii betting pick.

The Bulldogs meet the Rainbow Warriors for the first time since 1989, and the Warriors are unbeaten in their previous two encounters with Yale. Both Yale and Hawaii took the floor on Sunday night, and their games have been excluded from the analysis.

After a comfortable 96-41 victory over Sarah Lawrence in their season opener, the Yale Bulldogs defeated the Eastern Washington Eagles 74-60 in the first round of the Outrigger Rainbow Classic. The Bulldogs easily covered a 2-point spread thanks to a 19-0 run in the second half, and junior forward Matt Knowling had a big day in the office, tallying 26 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the field.

Yale held Eastern Washington to 7-for-25 shooting from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs allowed just a couple of offensive rebounds and posted nine in a return. They shot 45.3% from the field and 41.7% from downtown (10-for-24).

The Bulldogs are No. 146 in the KenPom rankings. They score 99.0 points per 100 possessions (195th in the country) and surrender 97.3 in a return (114th). Last season, the Bulldogs were yielding 98.8 points per 100 possessions, enough for the 98th-best defensive rating in the nation. They return 78.4 percent of playing time from their 2021-22 roster.
