The Xavier Musketeers posted their first Big East win on Saturday afternoon behind a season-high 10 three-point field goals to lead them to a 74-54 win over Seton Hall. The Musketeers improved to 1-1 in Big East play with the win and 7-6 overall. Quincy Olivari led the way with 29 points on 11-of-20 shooting including 5-of-11 from beyond the arc. Abou Ousmane chipped in with a double-double of 16 points, a season-high, and 10 rebounds. He added five blocks and three steals in the all-around effort. Guard Dayvion McNight also had a double-double, scoring 15 points and dishing out a season-high 10 assists.
Xavier still has plenty of time to make a push toward a postseason invite and the time is now to start winning in a tough, respected conference like the Big East.
