Xavier will be looking to extend its winning streak to five games when it travels to Georgetown on Friday night. The Musketeers have lost three games this season, but all three of those setbacks came against top-15 teams. Georgetown has lost three of its last four games, including an 83-64 setback at Syracuse last Saturday.

Xavier opened the season with a three-game winning streak before embarking on what will be its toughest stretch of the entire campaign. The Musketeers lost to then-No. 12 Indiana, then-No. 8 Duke and then-No. 6 Gonzaga in a four-game stretch. They were able to pick up a 90-83 win over Florida in between those games, though. Xavier bounced back with a four-game winning streak that has included wins over West Virginia and Cincinnati. The Musketeers were 2.5-point favorites against the Mountaineers and were 3.5-point favorites against the Bearcats. They added a comfortable 79-59 win over Southern on Tuesday, barely failing to cover the 22-point spread.

The Musketeers have been an outstanding offensive team this season, ranked No. 11 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings. They have been hot from beyond the arc throughout the season, knocking down 40.8% of their 3-pointers, which ranks sixth in the country. Xavier is No. 10 nationally in effective field goal percentage (57.0). The Musketeers are facing a Georgetown defense that has been terrible, raked No. 239 in adjusted efficiency. Senior guard Souley Boum leads Xavier with 17.0 points and 4.2 assists per game, while senior forward Jack Nunge is scoring 15.3 points and grabbing 7.1 rebounds. Colby Jones, Zach Freemantle and Adam Kunkel are each in double digits as well.
