The 13th-ranked Xavier Musketeers will travel to the CHI Health Center Omaha on Saturday afternoon in a Big East Conference matchup to take on the Creighton Bluejays. The Musketeers are a dominant 17-4 (9-1) so far this season and are riding a two-game winning streak after an 82-79 road win on Wednesday against the UConn Huskies. The Bluejays are 12-8 (6-3) right now and are on a three-game winning streak after coming off a 104-76 home win over the St. John’s Red Storm on Wednesday. These programs faced off on Jan. 11 where the Musketeers picked up a 90-87 home win.

The Xavier Musketeers have been playing well and were able to pick up an 82-79 road victory against the UConn Huskies. They did extremely well in the opening half as they outscored UConn 39-24. They shot the ball at an incredible level as they were 31-of-58 (53.4 percent) overall, 10-of-20 (50 percent) from three, and 13 free-throw attempts. Senior guard Souley Boum led the team as in 33 minutes he finished with 21 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three turnovers. Defensively, they did a decent job as they allowed 41 percent from the floor and 35.7 from deep here. Xavier did okay as they finished with six steals and two blocks throughout the game after forcing 12 turnovers. 

The Xavier Musketeers are doing very well this season as they are eighth in t he nation with 84 points per game thus far and shooting an outstanding 50.3 percent from the floor and are averaging 21 assists per game. Defensively, they are giving up 75.5 points per game, which is 326th in the country. They have been causing issues with 3.9 blocks and seven steals per game thus far.
