Both of these schools were off last weekend, so the Wyoming Cowboys (5-2; 4-2-1 ATS) and the Boise State Cowboys (3-4; 2-4-1 ATS) should be well rested for Saturday's showdown. Each team is 2-1 in MWC play, so this be a massive showdown if either wants to participate in the conference championship game. The last six years have ended with Boise State winning, a streak that they'll try to extend at home. Albertstons Stadium's beautiful blue turf will be the surface for this game, beginning at 5:30 p.m. EDT. In a battle between two of the Mountain West's best, who will come out on top?

Wyoming's last game was a seven-point loss to a now-ranked Air Force. Their only other loss came against Texas, who has spent most of this season ranked in the top 10. That game was tied when the fourth quarter began. The Cowboys have handled their business all season, largely through a defense holding opponents to 25.6 points per game. Most of their foes struggle to pass the ball. Wyoming is allowing 208.4 passing yards per game on 59.2% completion, and the defense has collected 14 sacks. The average passing play only gains 6.1 yards against the Cowboys. Things aren't as smooth on the ground, where Wyoming gives up 172.0 yards per game. Still, considering the tests they've faced (and the conference they play in), this defense isn't one to scoff at.

Now, Wyoming earning their first road win will require the offense to mo ve the ball effectively. Quarterback Andrew Peasley may only have two interceptions against 12 touchdowns, but the Cowboys gain a measly 160.3 passing yards per game. It'll be a rushing attack striking for 164.4 yards per game that handles most of the offense's workload. Harrison Waylee, the team's starting running back and leading rusher with 540 yards, is questionable for this game. If he suits up, the Cowboys should expect over 100 rushing yards from him. If not, Peasley will have a lot of responsibility on Saturday. Wyoming puts up 26.3 points per game and managed 27 against a good Air Force team without Waylee. This team should be trusted to adapt.
