The Winnipeg Jets are on the road as they make the trip to face the Seattle Kraken Sunday night. Winnipeg was in action on the road Saturday night as they were in Cowtown to face the Flames. The Jets downed the Stars 5-1 at home Tuesday night in their previous contest. Seattle battled but came up on the short end of a 1-0 score at home against Minnesota Friday night in their most recent game. The Jets have won all three previous meetings between the teams, including a 4-3 home win in the most recent matchup on May 1, 2022.

Winnipeg was in action on Saturday night so they play the second game of a back-to-back situation here looking to maintain their recent momentum. The Jets entered Saturday 6-0-1 in their last seven games and stood tied for the division lead in the Central with an 8-3-1 mark, though they had two games in hand on Dallas. Winnipeg enters this one 15th in the league in goals for as they average 3.17 goals a night. The Jets are 3rd in goals against as they allow 2.33 goals per contest. Winnipeg is tied for 19th on the power play by cashing in on 20 % of the chances with the man advantage this season. The Jets are tied for 6th in the league in penalty killing as they successfully navigate 83.3% of their shorthanded situations.

On Tuesday night, the Jets stayed hot by downing Dallas for their third straight win and improved to 6-0-1 in their last seven contests. Winnipeg controlled play in the opening period, holding an 18-8 edge in shots on goal, but the game was scoreless after 20 minutes of play. In the second period, the Jets outshot the Stars 10-7 and outscored them 4-1 to lead by that margin after two periods of play. After falling behind 1-0, Mark Scheifele tied the game just 21 seconds later at 3:27 with his seventh goal of the season off assists from Mason Appleton and Kyle Connor. Just over a minute later, Pierre-Luc Dubois gave the Jets a 2-1 lead with his sixth of the season at 4:37 off assists from Cole Perfetti and Blake Wheeler. Scheifele tallied his second of the game and eighth of the year at 6:12 off assists from Connor and Appleton for a 3-1 lead. Saku Maenalanen extended to a 4-1 Winnipeg edge with his first goal of the season at 18:14 off assists from Neal Pionk and Josh Morrissey. In the third period, the Jets were outshot 7-5 and scored the lone goal of the period to seal the victory. Appleton closed the scoring with his first goal of the season, into an empty net, at 17:02 with assists going to Adam Lowry and Connor.
