The Winnipeg Jets defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday, 4-2. The Jets are one of the hottest teams in the NHL, going 7-0-2 in their last nine games, giving the club points in nine consecutive contests. Winnipeg is 10-4-2 on the road.

Winnipeg trailed by a goal after one, but scored four unanswered goals, netting two goals in both the second and third periods. Vladislav Namestnikov had two assists in the contest and now has four points over his last five games. Winnipeg is 11th in goals per game (3.36), impressive considering that their power-play has been abysmal, 24th overall at 16.8%.

Conor Hellebuyck was impressive in the victory, stopping 32 shots. Hellebuyck (18-6-3, 2.33, .920) is having an impressive rebound season and joins Laurent Brossoit (5-3-1, 2.44, .912) to form one of the best goaltending tandems in the NHL, second in goals-against average (2.47). This is despite a special team that is 27th in penalty killing (73.8%).
