We have a Central Division matchup between the Winnipeg Jets and the Nashville Predators on Saturday afternoon at the Bridgestone Arena. The Jets are fourth in the Central Division (38-28-3, 79 points) and are on a two-game losing streak after a 3-0 home loss on Thursday against the Boston Bruins to try to stay in the Wild Card hunt. Th e Predators are fifth in the Central Division (34-25-7, 75 points) right now and are coming off a 2-1 home loss on Thursday against the Chicago Blackhawks. This will be the third of four games against one another as these teams split the first two meetings.

The Winnipeg Jets struggled last time out after a 3-0 home loss against the dominant Boston Bruins. Center Mark Scheifele led the Jets as he finished with six shot attempts throughout the game. They were unable to score any goals on 36 shots and failed to convert on any of their five power play attempts throughout the entire game. Connor Hellebuyck was the goaltender for Winnipeg and he allowed a pair of goals on 23 shot attempts. They need to be better on the offensive side of the ice if they want to win here.

This Jets team has been scoring the puck at an average level as they are currently 20th in the NHL with 212 total goals scored. Left winger Kyle Connor is leading the team as he is dishing the puck well with 73 points (27 goals, 46 assists) but has failed to score any points in any of the last three games. On the defensive side of the ice, they are holding their opponents to 197 total goals, which is 12th in the NHL up to this point.
