The Winnipeg Jets face the Edmonton Oilers with both teams looking to build off of strong seasons. The Jets have a 35-24-2 record and are near the top of the Central Division but hope to bounce back from four losses in a row while the Oilers have a 33-21-8 record and are in third place in the Pacific Division. The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Jets, allowing only 2.69 goals per game. Josh Morrissey and Dylan DeMelo have combined for 7.7 defensive point shares and 167 blocked shots while Neal Pionk, Nate Schmidt, and Brenden Dillon have combined for 9.2 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has been great with a .922 save percentage and a 2.52 goals-against average on 1457 shots w ith 24.0 goals saved above average.
