The Winnipeg Jets face the Edmonton Oilers with both teams looking to build off of strong seasons. The Jets have a 35-24-2 record and are near the top of the Central Division but hope to bounce back from four losses in a row while the Oilers have a 33-21-8 record and are in third place in the Pacific Division. Both teams look to remain near the top of their divisions and improve in the playoff picture and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Jets are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.05 goals per game. Kyle Connor and Pierre-Luc Dubois have scored 51 goals and 71 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler, and Adam Lowry have combined for 56 goals and 68 assists while defensemen Josh Morrissey and Neal Pionk have added 21 goals and 67 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Jets, allowing only 2.69 goals per game. Josh Morrissey and Dylan DeMelo have combined for 7.7 defensive point shares and 167 blocked shots while Neal Pionk, Nate Schmidt, and Brenden Dillon have combined for 9.2 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has been great with a .922 save percentage and a 2.52 goals-against average on 1457 shots w ith 24.0 goals saved above average.
