The Wichita State Shockers (10-10, 9-10-1 ATS, 9-11 O/U) battle the East Carolina Pirates (11-0, 13-8 ATS, 11-10 O/U) in an AAC clash on Sunday afternoon. The Shockers dropped a home bout against Tulane on Wednesday. The Pirates recorded a home win against Tulsa in their previous action. East Carolina earned a 79-69 road win against Wichita State last month. 

The Wichita State Shockers enter this one as a loser of two of their last three games. They earned a narrow 71-69 on Sunday and were a small one-point favorite in a 95-90 overtime home defeat against Tulane on Wednesday night. They had a rough 0-3 start to conference play and have rebounded a bit with a 4-2 mark in their last six bouts. The Shockers have covered the spread in two of their last three games.

Jaykwon Walton has been outstanding recently, sinking over 50% of his field goals in each of his last four games and scored 24 in Wednesday’s defeat. The junior guard is sporting an average of 13.3 PPG on the season. Craig Porter Jr. scored 13 points in the recent win against Tulsa. The senior guard has recorded an average of 12.1 PPG and is shooting a solid 48%. James Rojas is excelling, collecting two double-doubles in his last four games. The senior forward has scored double-digits in f ive straight bouts and is averaging 8.2 PPG on 40% shooting.

The Shockers are ranked 129th in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s rating and are 3-3 on the road including a win against SMU last week.
