The NFL Draft has become a beloved betting niche due to the sheer chaos that comes with wagering on an “information-based” event. It takes very little to move the lines — looking at you, Will Levis Reddit Guy — and the books don’t know any more than you.

Because it’s a different type of betting event, it’s not offered in every legal state. And some states have limited offerings or unique rules, particularly around when you can place bets.

New York for example is notoriously strict around betting on anything that can’t be found in a boxscore. In Iowa and Nevada, NFL Draft betting closed at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Of course, if your state doesn’t have any legal online betting, it won’t have the NFL Draft. So we’ve excluded states like Texas, California and Florida from these lists.
