The 2023 Women's NCAA Tournament is into the second round and we're starting to see teams secure bids to the Sweet 16. The second round wraps up on Monday, March 20 and the Sweet 16 starts on Friday, March 24.
The NCAA made a change to how they approach regionals this year. Instead of placing teams in four regions across the country, they've set up two regions. Greensville, South Carolina will host eight of the teams competing for two Final Four berths and Seattle, Washington will host eight teams competing for the other two Final Four berths.
The Sweet 16 will run on Friday and Saturday, with two games in each of the two arenas each day. The Elite Eight will then run on Sunday and Monday. The Final Four will take place the following weekend in Dallas, Texas.
We know the Sweet 16 will run on Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th, but we don't know how the matchups will be split up. We'll update this as matchups are settled and we learn more about the schedule.
