The College Football Playoff (four teams) began in 2014 and overall has been good for the sport, but it soon will be tweaked.
In December 2022, the College Football Playoff (CFP) Board of Managers agreed to expand the playoffs to 12 teams, which is great news when it comes to college football betting.
“I think it will create unbelievable excitement for college football,” K-State coach Chris Klieman said of the 12-team playoff. He said he thinks it will eventually expand to 16.
