The Western Michigan Broncos (3-6) and the Northern Illinois Huskies (2-7) square off on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Waldo Stadium in a clash of MAC foes.
The Broncos were defeated by the Bowling Green Falcons 13-9 in their last outing. The Huskies’ last game was a 35-22 loss to the Central Michigan Chippewas. Against the Falcons, Treyson Bourguet led the Broncos with 191 yards on 16-of-27 passing (59.3%) for one touchdown and one interception. He also carried the ball seven times for 29 yards. Sean Tyler took 26 carries for 93 yards (3.6 yards per carry), while adding one reception for zero yards in the passing game. Corey Crooms had eight receptions for 151 yards (18.9 per catch) and one touchdown against the Falcons. Nevan Cremascoli threw for 158 yards for the Huskies against the Chippewas, going 13-for-33 (39.4%) with two touchdowns and one interception. Harrison Waylee put together a 20-carry, 136-yard game (6.8 yards per attempt), while tacking on one reception for three yards . Tristen Tewes recorded three catches for 70 yards (on six targets), with one touchdown.
The Broncos are the favorite (-1.5) in a projected close matchup against the Huskies. The total is set at 52 points.
