C-USA opponents meet when the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (5-3) and the North Texas Mean Green (4-4) square off on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.

The Hilltoppers took on the UAB Blazers in their most recent outing, winning 20-17. The Mean Green are coming off of a loss to the UTSA Roadrunners by the score of 31-27. Austin Reed had 128 yards on 14-of-23 passing (60.9%) for the Toppers in that matchup against the Blazers, with no touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added eight carries for 23 yards and two rushing touchdowns. LT Sanders rushed for 120 yards on 16 carries (7.5 yards per carry). Malachi Corley had five receptions for 77 yards (15.4 per catch) against the Blazers. Austin Aune’s performance for the Mean Green against the Roadrunners included 15-of-31 passing for 325 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Oscar Adaway III put together a 10-carry, 20-yard game (2.0 yards per attempt). Roderic Burns caught six passes for 139 yards (23.2 yards per catch).

The Mean Green are double-digit, 10-point underdogs in their matchup against the Hilltoppers (the game has an over/under of 69 points).
