The woeful Louisville Cardinals will try to get their first win of the season Wednesday when they host the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Cardinals are off to their worst start in 82 years at 0-9 while Western Kentucky is rolling along at 8-1 on the season. Louisville has won 9 of the last 10 meetings between these two, but the Hilltoppers one win came last season, when they beat Louisville 82-72. Tipoff is at 9:00 p.m. EST at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville.
Western Kentucky is off to a fantastic start this season with a record of 8-1. That said, they have not played a very difficult schedule. In fact, they have played the 292nd hardest schedule, which means, they have not played a hard schedule at all. But they are ranked No. 111 in the KenPom rankings, which may be inflated given their level of competition.

Their best win of the season came at Tulane just before Thanksgiving as they won 71-65 in the Cayman Islands, but they were favored by 1.5 points. They really haven't played anyone else of note. Their lone loss came against Akron, a team that is 5-4 and ranked No. 126 in KenPom. Everyone else they played was either a Div. II school or a team ranked below No. 200 in the country. Their ,most recent win last Saturday was a 64-60 win against No. 210 ranked Wright State as a 7.5 point favorite.
