Week 13 NFL: Previewing the Kansas City Chiefs at Cincinnati Bengals matchup

Kansas City Chiefs at Cincinnati Bengals

The two hottest teams in the AFC meet in a rematch of the AFC Championship Game. Kansas City has won its last five games, while Cincinnati has won four of its last five. After an 0-2 start, the Bengals, who beat the Chiefs twice last season, have gone 7-2. Cincinnati also will likely get wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and running back Joe Mixon back for this matchup.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs are rolling at 9-2 and have the best record in the AFC. Kansas City also has the No. 1 overall Offense DVOA (Cincinnati is No. 7). Cincinnati is a little better on defense (12th in DVOA vs. Kansas City’s 18th).

Last year the Bengals won as 3.5-point home underdogs in Week 17 against Kansas City in a 34-31 shootout. Cincinnati made it a clean sweep as a +7 road underdog, 27-24, in the AFC Championship Game.

Cincinnati was able to overcome playoff revenge at Tennessee last weekend but faces double revenge here. Kansas City is only 5-6 ATS (2-2 as road favorites) this season, but that is actually somewhat impressive considering this team is priced to the moon every week and has been for a few years now.
