The Weber State Wildcats will play the Washington Huskies in a non-conference game on Monday night at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, Washington.
The Weber State Wildcats were 21-12 (13-7) last season and finished tied for third in the Big Sky Conference standings. Weber State defeated Montana, but lost to Montana State in the Big Sky Tournament by a score of 69-66, which ended their season. Weber State lost three players that averaged over 12 points per game (42 points per game total), but does bring in three division one transfers. Weber State should be decent this season, but I don’t see them being a top team in the Big Sky with all of the production that they lost.
The Washington Huskies were 17-15 (11-9) last season and finished tied for fifth in the PAC-12 standings. Washington defeated Utah in their first game of the PAC-12 tournament, but lost to USC by a score of 65-61 to end their season. Washington lost Terrell Brown, who averaged 21.7 points per game last season, and Emmitt Matthews, who averaged 11.7 points per game. The Huskies bring in four transfers, including Keion Brooks, who is the only Husky that averaged over 10 points per game last season. Washington should be in the middle of the Pac-12 once again this season.
