Weather Postpones Third Round of TOUR Championship, Leaders to Finish Third Round on Sunday

Welp, golf fans had to leave the couch earlier than expected on Saturday.

Play was suspended during the third round of the TOUR Championship due to lightning in the area. The official time from the PGA Tour for the delay was 6:36 p.m.

Scottie Scheffler, who held a one-stroke lead at the time of the delay, was playing his 13th hole of the day. Xander Schauffele, trailing Scheffler by one, was also in the group. The pairing did not tee off until 3 p.m. local time.

Sung-Jae Im (-16) is three strokes behind the leader and Rory McIlroy (-15) is four back of Scheffler. There’s a whole host of players at -14, five strokes behind Scheffler.
