The Washington Wizards decided to fully commit to a rebuild this offseason, dealing away Kristap Porzingis and Bradley Beal. The results have been difficult as the Wizards currently sit with the second-worst record in the NBA at 3-17. They have lost 12 of 13 games heading into this one including a 131-126 loss to the Sixers on Wednesday night. Jordan Poole led the way with 23 points but the Wizards were no match for the inside presence of Joel Embiid, who torched them for 50 points.

“In general, I thought the effort, the overall intent was better tonight. The defensive disposition was much better,” Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr. said. “So you come up short, but I thought that was somewhat of a bounce-back for us.”

The Wizards come into this matchup desperate for a win. They have been solid on the offensive end all season despite winning just three gam es. The Wizards are 7th in points per game this season. They are fifth in field goal percentage overall but just 20th in 3-point field goal percentage. The defense has been a major issue for the Wizards, which helps to explain their current record. They are last in the league in points allowed per game. The are also last in the league in defensive field goal percentage and 18th in 3pt-defense. The Wizards do have a solid assist-to-turnover ratio, ranking fourth in the NBA. They are last in the NBA in rebounding.

Key Injuries: G Ryan Rollins (knee), G Landry Shamet (ribs) are out. C Daniel Gafford (ankle) is questionable.
